The Final Stage of the Eurocodes Training Programme

The final stage of training under ELEMENT HOLDING’s project, “Advancing Eurocode know-how for the industry growth in Georgia” has been completed.

During the two-stage programme, delivered under the mentorship of international experts, Georgian structural engineers explored key topics related to Eurocodes and gained insights from European experience. The training cycle aimed to strengthen the professional capabilities of local specialists and support the adoption of modern European standards within Georgia’s construction sector.

According to the mentors, knowledge of Eurocodes will broaden opportunities for Georgian professionals to participate in international projects and collaborate with European colleagues. They also highlighted the importance of construction companies’ involvement, noting that the private sector plays a decisive role in the practical implementation of these standards.

The mentors commended the collaboration with Georgian professionals, as well as the participants’ active engagement and strong professional interest. They noted that ELEMENT HOLDING’s initiative brought together a wide range of stakeholders committed to the adoption of Eurocodes—an important step towards harmonisation with European standards.

ELEMENT HOLDING is implementing the initiative with the support of QUIS, a project funded by the European Union and German Government.

The project “Advancing Eurocode Know-How for the Industry Growth in Georgia” is implemented in partnership with the Infrastructure Construction Companies Association (ICCA), the Structural Engineers Association of Georgia (SEAG), and the Georgian Construction Materials Cluster (GCMC).
